Where o Where is the water going? This is the lowest we have seen it......

Well, did someone pull the drain plug again or is it just the SouthEasters blowing. Also there's a full moon if only you could see it. We'll be watching the levels until we leave late October. Hoping it's just that 60 year cycle they keep mentioning. Some older folks remember when it was lower even without the moon. But back then they probably were just looking for submarines to surface because of low water near their docks.

Visitors

We had three bright-eyed visitors at cocktail hour last night, all decided to take a seat in our tree and were undecided as to our selection of wines and cheeses so they left us to finish up the appetizers.

Photo Opportunity Time

Just as the music of Hank Williams, Jr. says on Disc One of Redneck Country...."All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight", we got to rolling up the rug and enjoying the moment. Our days are being filled with good times and a lot of laughs courtesy of close friends.
Can only recommend good country music, a little wine and a terrific rib roast to set the mood.

Have to include the work aspect of cottage life, falling six big dead oak trees and starting the job of splitting for this fall and next spring. Don't you just love a guy who can drop a tree on a dime!...Everytime!.. We call him "Chuckles the Chainsaw Guy"... just kidding....Ted

Summer goes Fall

Another wonderful weekend with friends. Starting with storms on Friday and blue skies Sunday. Catching up and reminiscing on the last 45 years with gourmet meals in between, spectacular!!! A hike around the shore found photo opportunities and a little green frog ( Leopard Frog ), this is a good sign for the islands health. Some leaves are beginning to turn now.... the lake water is getting cool... Let's put on the fireplace.....it's that time of year on the Bay....
